Ukrainian Maritime Transport Company website
Ukrainian Maritime Transport Agency offers high-quality cargo handling services at the Ukrainian ports.
Our major task was to create a modern website, which allows to quickly and intuitively calculate the cost of the provided services according to key parameters.
The model of “floating windows” was taken as the main website concept. It allows to use the Home Page as a desktop surface by opening, minimizing and moving the windows
of the website subsections on it.
The preshot photos of port areas with wharfed ships were used as background images.
The main menu consists of “floating windows”, duplicated via standard menu at the top of the screen. It includes the following items:
- Port info
This section provides full information on the structure of a selected port, peculiarities of operation of terminals and their quantity. For illustration purposes, the
section contains specially drawn diagrams of ports. In addition, it reflects weather conditions of a region, in which the port is situated.
- Proforma D/A
The section represents the main tool for calculating the cost of requested services – an interactive calculator. A client needs to select the criteria
from the suggested menu items and click CALCULATE. So he will get a detailed list of requested services and their cost. It is also possible to print
the obtained document from the opened window.
- Client’s area
Menu for registration of clients on the company’s website with subsequent access to privileged information. - Contact
Contact details of the company’s representatives.
We created a special Content Management System for UMTC – it allows to edit, add and delete information in any of the website sections without any special knowledge.
The website is also equipped with a module, which allows the UMTC’s employees to easily add new ports and their own cost calculation schemes.
